Proudest mum moment:

Everything! He makes me proud every single day.

Toughest mum moment:

When Max had norovirus. Seeing him so upset and in pain was gut-wrenching as there was nothing I could do other than wait for it to pass. Also, taking him to nursery for the first time and having to leave him while he was crying was utterly heartbreaking.

What I wish I'd been told before having a child:

Everyone warns you about the lack of sleep but actually you adapt to it pretty quickly. What frustrates me more is the fact I’ve become a ridiculously light sleeper and wake up at the slightest noise! This is completely different to how I was before – I’ve been known to sleep through a fire alarm on more than one occasion…

Likes (other than my child!):

  • Movies & cinema – particularly quirky French movies, psychological thrillers, courtroom dramas, sci-fi (robots, not aliens) and documentaries.
  • Studying/Learning – I’m currently studying for a degree in Forensic Psychology and it’s AMAZING.
  • Reading – these days it’s a rare occurrence but when I have a moment to soak in the bath with a good book, oh it’s such a joy.
  • Wine – I’m qualified in it. Seriously. I hold a Level 3 Advanced WSET certificate.

Favourite Molly Mojo products & why:

Angelsounds fetal doppler baby sound monitor

Angelsounds Fetal Doppler

I used this all the time when I was pregnant to calm my anxieties and check my baby was doing ok. It felt like ages between appointments with the midwife so it was lovely to have something at home I could use to listen to baby’s heartbeat!

Philips Avent Manual Breast Pump

 Avent Manual Breast Pump

I tried several electric pumps when I was breastfeeding and this one was by far the best for me, and so cheap! The smaller bottle was great as it meant I could pop it in my handbag and take it with me for emergencies. I think this is a very understated product!
