Piles

It is not known what exactly causes Piles, also called Haemorrhoids, but it is known they are related to increased pressure on the blood vessels surrounding your bottom. Piles are described as swellings in or around the anus and are often asymptomatic and painless. Sometimes piles might cause an itchy or sore bottom, and mucus in the stool or a lump around the anus may be visible after going to the toilet. You might experience piles after pregnancy, constipation or chronic diarrhoea and topical creams can be applied to ease any symptoms that are present.
