Dry Skin & Eczema

Children can have dry skin, eczema or both. Eczema differs from dry skin in that the skin will be red and bumpy or scaly. Children tend to develop eczema from about two months old and generally eczema patches will appear in crevices of skin such as behind the ears, behind the knees or inside the elbows - although it can be anywhere on the body. Eczema can be itchy so babies and young children are likely to scratch it. Therefore it is important to keep it clean and dry to avoid infection. Topical creams are available to help soothe the itch and reduce inflamation. Childs Farm have created a moisturiser specifically for eczema, which has been proven to produce visible results on babies and children.
